On May 4, GEPAC - Gabinete de Estratégia, Planeamento e Avaliação Culturais - will present the digital seminar "Cultura e Agenda 2030/ODS".

This seminar aims to reinforce the visibility and the Role of Culture in the 2030 Agenda. Understanding Culture as an essential pillar in the integral construction of each person, democracy, national identity, intercultural dialogue, innovation, and sustainable development, its role is highly visible and appreciated in the implementation of intersectoral strategies.

4Cs - From Conflict to Conviviality through Creativity and Culture will be presented as a Case Study by Ana Fabíola Maurício, the 4Cs Project Manager.

GEPAC started a process of joint work to create a vision and a commitment of Culture to the 2030 Agenda, involving the Culture organisms, agents and professionals of culture, associations and municipalities.

To reinforce all the work that is already being developed and the visibility of this sector, GEPAC proposed the holding of this work meeting, whose inaugural lecture is by Professor Manuel Gama.

Manuel Gama, PhD in Cultural Studies / Sociology of Culture from the University of Minho, is one of the Coordinators of the Observatory of Communication and Culture Policies (POL.OBS).

The work sessions will continue on later and the results of this Seminar will also be included in the International Conference of the PPUE "Culture, Cohesion and Social Impact", by Dr. Pedro Sobrado, on May 6, in Serralves, in the panel "Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals: Conclusions of the Seminar ", in Serralves.

These themes also correspond to the organization that UNESCO defined as a way of working with Culture in the SDGs and building the thematic indicators: Culture 2030.
